Plague Mask Players back with the amazing AT&T Performing Arts Centers Elevator Project to present 'Alice' a variation on Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland', by playwright, Ara Vito, and directed by Samantha Calatozzo Cobb. This production will be the Texas premiere of this exciting new work, and Plague Mask Players is thrilled to be the first to bring it to life for DFW audiences. The play received second place for the Harold and Mimi Steinberg National Student Playwriting Award through the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF).

Inspired by true events, Momma Wont Die is a wickedly funny Southern dark comedy about three generations of women navigating death, dysfunction and long-buried family secrets as their 108-year-old matriarch refuses to let go. Filled with sharp humor, heartfelt moments and eccentric small-town characters, the world premiere production is written by Dallas playwrights Patty Pell and Laurie Grigsby and directed by acclaimed playwright and filmmaker Del Shores. Presented by Clark, Pell & King Productions.

Show runs June 12-28. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. Runtime is approximately two hours, including intermission. Tickets are $38 and available at www.mommawontdie.com.

On September 12, 2026, Samuel Lynne Galleries presents the first public exhibition of Reflectionism, a new American art movement more than 25 years in the making.

Founded in Dallas by artist JD Miller in 2001, Reflectionism is rooted in the belief that an artists intention, energy, and physical process are reflected within the work. Created in oil with palette knives, these paintings possess a sculptural dimension that shifts with light, movement, and perspective, an experience that cannot be fully captured in a photograph.

For this landmark exhibition, all nine founding Reflectionist artists will come together for the first time, united by one philosophy and marking a defining moment in art history.

The exhibition features JD Miller, Philip Romano, Lea Fisher, Carrie Cameron, Sharon Virts, Renea Menzies, Sue Yu Petty, Kelly Steller Hrad, and Tanner Lawley.

Flamenco Fever is excited to announce its annual Paella y Pasión Spanish Cookout and Artist Showcase on Sunday, September 13, from 12 PM to 5 PM. This vibrant event will feature live dance and music performances, plus delicious paella prepared by local chefs competing for prizes.

Admission to Paella y Pasión is free; however, advance online registration is required. The community event will be held indoors and outdoors at La Cantera, Flamenco Fever's expansive headquarters at Kessler Hills Shopping Center, 1050 N Westmoreland Road, Ste. 328, Dallas, TX.

This multigenerational event will feature performances by Latinx artists and aims to enhance cultural accessibility in Oak Cliff while supporting local arts training in music, various dance styles, visual arts, and wellness. Special guests from Flamenco Fever Academy will also make appearances.

The day's festivities will feature a Spanish rock band, face painting, free flamenco dance lessons, and music classes. The City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture is partially sponsoring the event.

Tickets for a bowl of paella and one drink are available for $20 when purchased in advance. (Click HERE for purchase link.) Prices will be higher for tickets bought on-site. Each ticket also includes a Spanish-inspired souvenir to enhance your experience. In addition to paella, sangria, beer, water, and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Everyone attending is encouraged to wear festive clothing and bring lawn chairs.

About Flamenco Fever

Flamenco Fever is a Dallas-based non-profit organization established in 1998 that celebrates the art of Flamenco and showcases a variety of ethnic performers, including African drummers, salsa dancers, tango artists, and belly dancers. With the opening of its new headquarters, Flamenco Fever is expanding into arts-as-therapy, offering over 500 classes in diverse disciplines such as comedy, yoga, drumming, and dance. In its first year, the center served nearly 9,000 residents and hosted over 500 events.
