Dallas VideoFest 31 opens the second annual DocuFest at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, with a screening of THE GREAT BUSTER: A CELEBRATION (2018), which honors the life and career of filmmaker and comedian Buster Keaton. The documentary, directed by Peter Bogdanovich of THE LAST PICTURE SHOW fame, showcases Keaton's contributions to the silent film era and features interviews with performers and friends including Mel Brooks, Quentin Tarantino, Dick Van Dyke and Johnny Knoxville.

THE GREAT BUSTER will screen at the historic Texas Theatre, 231 W. Jefferson Blvd., in Dallas. The other four days of the festival will take place on one screen at Angelika Film Center & Cafe in Dallas, 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane, and will include dozens of documentary features and shorts. Moments of Truth (2018), a short showcasing the history of filmmakers' use of documentaries to tell in-depth stories we may not otherwise know, will screen along with THE GREAT BUSTER.
