SMU men's basketball head coach Matt Doherty tweeted today that former SMU center Papa Dia has signed a 'nice' two-year deal with KK Zagreb, a professional basketball club in the Euroleague Basketball. KK Zagreb was last year's champions.

In 2011, Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year Papa Dia led the Mustangs to their highest win total since 2002-2003 and their most conference wins (8) ever in Conference USA. This led to SMU making its first post-season appearance since 2000. SMU accepted an invitation to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT) and made it all the way to the Final Four.
