Last week, SMU senior running back Zach Line was selected as the preseason All-Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year and was named to the preseason All-C-USA First Team. This week, LostLettermen.com honored Line as the No. 1 non-BCS running back in the nation.

in 2010, Line exploded onto the scene by rushing for 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns. His rushing total was the second most in school history, behind only the legendary Eric Dickerson. In 2011, Line had rushed for over 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns in only 10 games before sitting out the rest of the season due to injury.

Before his injury, some sports analysts were touting Line as a darkhouse Heisman candidate.
