After an announcement on Tuesday about how West Nile had claimed a University Park resident's life and an announcement on Wednesday about how another resident had been hospitalized because of the virus, the City resumed its mosquito ground fogging efforts.

The entire City of University Park, which is where SMU is located, was fogged on Wednesday, which includes streets and alleys, and the fogging will continue throughout the month.

Here is UP's ground fogging schedule for mosquitoes, which will only occur between the hours of 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the remainder of August:

  • Saturday, Aug. 25 — All Highland Park ISD schools, which includes streets and grounds.
  • Sunday, Aug. 26 — Burleson Park, Goar Park, Williams Park, Germany Park and City Hall grounds.
  • Monday, Aug. 27 — Caruth Park, Children's Park, Coffee Park, Curtis Park and Smith Park grounds. Also, the entire city, which includes streets and alleys.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 28 — The entire city, which includes streets and alleys.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 29 — The entire city, which includes streets and alleys.
