New signs may be going up around Southern Methodist University's campus.

The University Park City Council will be having a public hearing during its regular meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall about a request from SMU to install new signage.

Here is what SMU would like to install:

• A new monument sign outside of the engineering school.
• A new monument sign outside of the education school.
• New entryway signs on the northwest and southwest corners of the intersection of Central Expressway and SMU Boulevard.
