SMU fans will have the opportunity to spend time with the university's football team and head coach June Jones at a preseason luncheon next month.

The team will be hosting the 2011 Football Kickoff Luncheon at noon on August 17 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.

SMU Football Coach June Jones and his 2011 squad will be in attendance at the event. The SMU football team had a 7-7 record last season and played in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl against Army.

Individual tickets for the event cost $75, but supporters can purchase a 10-person table for $750, which includes tickets for eight and the choice of a player and coach or two players.
