Thousands of guests, ghosts, and ghouls are expected to fill Klyde Warren Park for Trick-or-Treating in the Park, one of the city’s most popular family Halloween celebrations. Free and open to the public, the sixth-annual event takes place Saturday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 9 PM, and features candy collecting, costume contests, children’s book giveaways from Book Drive for Kids, family-friendly activities, and a nighttime outdoor screening of Toy Story 5 presented by Laura and Lloyd Pierson in Honor of Scott K. Ginsburg and supported by Steptoe & Johnson PLLC. More than 20,000 guests attended last year’s event.
Families are encouraged to dress in their Halloween best and enjoy an evening of free festivities alongside thousands of children, parents and pets from across North Texas.
Presented by Kroger, which is donating 125,000 pieces of candy, the spook-tacular celebration is hosted by Klyde Warren Park’s Corporate Council, with Miyama USA Texas and the Miyama-Shibagaki Family serving as honorary chairs. Corporate Council members will staff 30 trick-or-treating tables throughout the Park. The evening’s costume contest includes categories for Tots (ages 0-5), Kids (ages 6-12), Pets, Teens (ages 13-17), Adults (18+) and Group/Family.
