Fashion Stars and the just plain fashionable filled the Dallas Country Club Friday night for the annual Fashion Stars for a Cause fundraising event, benefiting Suicide and Crisis Centers of North Texas. Margie Wright, SSC executive director, and Yvonne Crum, Fashion Stars chairman, welcomed partygoers to the sold-out evening and Introduced Suzie Humphries who took it from there.. Debbie Murray was the Speaker and her message was right on.. HOPE!

Among many of the event's long-time supporters attending were: Dee Wyly, Caroline Rose Hunt, Rosewood Corporation, Sue and Pryor Blackwell, Gretchen Henry, Paul and Landa Parker, Laurie Harrison, Margaret Keliher, Terry Bentley Hill, Carolyn Lupton and Jane McGarry, The Royal Chef Darren McGrady, and his wife, Wendy. Chef McGrady is providing the Royal Dinner Raffle- an amazing dinner for 10. The raffle drawing, which will also include a $5,000 Belk gift card, will be May 21, so there's still time to get tickets before the wonderful wrap up at Belk, Galleria Dallas.

The event also served as the debut for the organization's "Fashion Stars Magazine," an annual publication celebrating hope and style. Toni Munoz-Hunt, former Fashion Star and honorary co-chair with husband Daniel, graces the cover in a stunning white Tom Ford gown. The magazine, put together by Carolyn Tillery and designed by Darin Prejean, was photographed by Wade Livingston. Among those providing gracious underwriting were Stacy and Michelle Godo of Avon Cleaners, David Blank of Diamond Doctor and Belk our amazing presenting sponsor, Linda and Steve Ivy and Mockingbird Florist. Penny and Paul Loyd longtime sponsors of the event didn't make it because they were in Louisville, Hoping for an amazing win for SMU, so proud of their Mustangs and Salem Boohaker representing Belk Galleria Dallas.

The evening opened with guests enjoying the official Fashion Stars Cocktail, and ended with a surprise music tribute to Toni Munoz-Hunt singing "For Good" by Kyle Hughes. (which started with Yvonne Crum having it sung to her and now it's a yearly tradition for someone who had done the most for SCC /Fashion Stars For a Cause.. It was a sold out crowd and the are over $200,000 going for $250,000 with Raffles sold until the big wrap up event with the Fashion Stars hosted by Belk with a fashion show and lots of fun.
