HP Police Blotter: Two Cellphones Stolen from Unlocked Mercedes

Highland Park, Texas (Sept. 3-6)

SEPTEMBER 3

Damage to Private Property
A 74-year-old resident reported that unknown vehicle damaged about "20 feet of green metal edging, 12 square feet of landscape and two sprinkler heads" on the lawn of her residence between 6 p.m. Sept. 2 and 11 a.m. Sept. 3 in the 3500 block of Lexington Avenue.

SEPTEMBER 5

Fraud
A 63-year-old resident, who lives in the 4500 block of Westway Avenue, reported that someone attempted to remove $9,500 from her 92-year-old father's trust account.

Vehicle Burglary
A 40-year-old resident of Dallas who works at Whole Foods in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive reported that someone broke a window to her BMW 335i at 5:25 p.m. while it was parked outside of the store and stole a reusable grocery bag, which contained a binder with performance evaluations.

SEPTEMBER 6

Damage to Town Property
A 39-year-old resident of Irving, who is a FedEx employee, reported that he accidentally struck a tree limb with his truck at 3 p.m. in the 4200 block of Bordeaux Avenue, causing it to break and fall into the roadway.

Vehicle Burglary
A 76-year-old resident reported that two cellphones were stolen from his unlocked 2001 Mercedes 560 while it was parked between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. in the 3400 block of Beverly Drive.
