Where to Hike in the DFW Area in Honor of National Trail Day

Every year, the United States celebrates the unofficial "National Trail Day" on the first Saturday of June. You know what that means: time to get up and get active before the beautiful outdoors of Texas becomes unbearably hot. Even if you live in one of the states more metropolitan areas, there are still plenty of places where you can take a break from city life and enjoy Mother Nature for a day. Believe it or not, Texas is home to more than a few gorgeous outdoor displays, from clear creeks to indigenous wildflowers. Get out there and see what your state has to offer before temperatures reach blistering levels.
