Playaway Launchpads are designed for children and are preloaded with high quality, ad-free apps that are both fun and educational. Apps are grouped by subject area, theme, grade-level, and age, so it’s easy for parents and kids to choose a tablet with the most appealing and appropriate content.  Featuring popular characters and brands, app subject areas are wide-ranging, involving math and science, critical and creative thinking and themes from nature, to princesses, fantasy and more.  Kids can also create their own personal avatar before starting their adventures.  Also, pleasingly for parents, the hours of interactive play involve no exposure to unintended content, and there is no need for a network connection or for downloading.    

Launchpads for teens and adults

Launchpads aren't just for kids! The library has two tablets with skills tests and games to prepare for the SAT.  For adult, the library has two tablets for learning Spanish and French.

Kids' Launchpads can be checked out for one week.  Teen and adult Launchpads have a two-week check out period. Launchpads must be checked out on an adult resident library card, and checkout is limited to one per card.

The overdue fine for a Launchpad is $2 a day.
