Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Dallas is hosting the Global Student Entrepreneurs Awards (GSEA) local qualifying competition on November 16 at SMU Cox School of Business. GSEA, a program of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), is the premier awards program for student entrepreneurs. GSEA provides students the opportunity to form lasting relationships with students and the VIP entrepreneur judges. Over the years, participating students have gone on to create thousands of jobs and generate millions in revenue.
Eligible students must currently be enrolled as an undergraduate student of a recognized college or university. Additionally, students need to be primarily responsible for the operation of a for-profit (revenue generating) business that has been operating for no less than six (6) consecutive months. The applicant’s business must have minimum revenue of $500. Students may apply by filling out the online application, due by November 2.
Upon review of the applications, selected students will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to present their business and entrepreneurial journey in front of a panel of entrepreneur judges. The winner of the Dallas competition will compete at the national level in Miami on February 11, 2016. The winner of the national competition will attend the GSEA Finals in Bangkok to compete with the world’s top student entrepreneurs and have a chance to win over $150,000 in US cash and donated business services.
“GSEA is a prestigious program offering student entrepreneurs the support and guidance to be tomorrow’s business leaders,” said Jessica Nunez, chair, EO Dallas GSEA. “We’re eager to meet the students who are not only studying entrepreneurship, but living it. We look forward to hearing their entrepreneurial journeys and providing them with tools they need for future success.”
The application deadline for the EO Dallas qualifying competition is Monday, November 2. For more information about the competition, please email GSEA@EODallas.org.
